About Me

My name is Ali, and my husband, Shane and I live in the suburbs of Washington, DC. We welcomed twin boys, Caleb & Wyatt,  into our lives in June of 2011. We’ve been barely surviving  enjoying every minute, ever since! My husband works for the US Dept. of Agriculture in DC and I work for our local police department as a Forensic Specialist.

This blog is my own small piece of internet real estate where I can share my experiences of being a mom of twins, one of which has cerebral palsy. I’m continuously learning more about this neurological disorder, but my eyes have been opened to an incredible community of special needs families, who are accomplishing so much. I have the unique gift of having identical twins, who are not-so-identical. I wouldn’t change a thing about our lives, and all the chaos that comes with it.

Hi…I just read your blog about Port Discovery and I was not able to leave a comment….I really have a hard time leaving comments every time I try…anyway, here are my thoughts of the day….those little boys are so very fortunate to have such wonderful parents….wow, they went to a museum!!!! You and your husband are just so thoughtful, introducing your lovely children to all of these opportunities… those little boys will be so smart….keep up the good work….
