MoCo Fair!

Last weekend, we rounded up the kids and joined some friends of ours and headed to the Montgomery County Agricultural Fair. Last year, we had such an amazing time and we were really looking forward to taking the kids back this summer. We got to the fairgrounds shortly after they opened for the day and managed to beat some of the crowds which is always good. The kids loved seeing the different animals, although Wyatt was a little more timid and clingy than usual. Caleb’s favorite animals was the goats and both boys loved watching the baby ducks. Wyatt enjoyed the wide assortment of John Deere tractors and wanted to sit and “drive” every single one of them!

While the boys preferred animals and tractors, my favorite part of the fair were the culinary delights; fresh squeezed lemonade, french fries and funnel cakes… nom nom nom.

We’re still a few years away from the boys being able to ride the carnival rides and play games for a chance to win a hideous stuffed animal but this is definitely a summer tradition we’ll be sure not to miss!

I'm a working mom of three fantastic boys: Caleb, Wyatt and Parker. My husband, Shane, and I live in the Washington DC suburbs where we enjoy playgrounds, pools and never getting to sleep in. This blog is a journal of our day-to-day lives as well as a chronicle of Caleb's progress after a recent spinal surgery to alleviate the effects of his cerebral palsy.
