Cousin Playdate

A couple weeks ago, after the boys’ 2nd birthday party, we met up with my cousin and his family for a fun afternoon. Ross, his wife, Linda, and their three kids live in Sweden and come to visit every summer. I’ve always looked forward to hanging out with them, especially since Caleb was diagnosed with cerebral palsy. I say this because their daughter, Alicia, also has a disability and we’ve come to really look up to their family as they’ve offered us lots of wonderful advice and support. I wrote about their visit a year ago, here on the blog.

We got all the kids together and let them loose outside in a kiddie pool on a sunny day and they had a blast. Wyatt loved running and jumping into the pool and Caleb thought it was hilarious to crawl into and out of the pool. Liam enjoyed every part of the pool and Damien was very successful in getting Shane all wet! Alicia had a perfect seat to enjoy the water games as well! As always, Shane and I enjoyed catching up with Ross and Linda and filling each other in on our respective children’s developments. All in all, it was a fantastic day!

I'm a working mom of three fantastic boys: Caleb, Wyatt and Parker. My husband, Shane, and I live in the Washington DC suburbs where we enjoy playgrounds, pools and never getting to sleep in. This blog is a journal of our day-to-day lives as well as a chronicle of Caleb's progress after a recent spinal surgery to alleviate the effects of his cerebral palsy.

Great to hang with you all as well. I wish we had more adult time to rap and chill, but the five cousins seem like taking care of a whole daycare.
